Key Responsibilities
Teaching & Learning Support
1. Plan, prepare and deliver learning activities under the direction of teaching staff.
2. Lead whole-class teaching when required, including covering planned teacher absence.
3. Support pupils by adapting learning materials and ensuring differentiated provision.
4. Work with small groups and individuals to reinforce learning and support progress.
5. Use a range of strategies to support pupils with additional learning needs, EAL, or behavioural needs.
6. Assist in the assessment, recording, and tracking of pupils’ achievement and progress.
7. Provide feedback to pupils in line with school marking and assessment policies.
Classroom Management & Supervision
8. Maintain high expectations for pupils’ behaviour, promoting positive behaviour strategies.
9. Set up, maintain, and organise learning resources and classroom environments.
10. Supervise pupils during breaktimes, lunchtimes, and on educational visits when required.
