Job description:
We are seeking a motivated Junior Indirect Buyer to join our Team at the new Silverstone Facility. In this entry-level position, you will support the buying team in sourcing and purchasing components and supplies essential for our operations. This is a fantastic opportunity to begin your career in procurement within a dynamic and fast-paced environment. What you will be doing:
* Work with departments like HR, IT, Finance, or Facilities to understand their purchasing needs, and assist in the purchasing of these
* Contact and liaise with suppliers for quotes, lead times, and availability.
* Support onboarding of new vendors and maintain supplier data.
* Maintain accurate records of purchasing activities and supplier communications.
* Help ensure requests comply with company policies and procurement processes.
* Collaborate with the buying team to meet operational needs effectively.
* Help resolve any discrepancies with orders and invoices.
Requirements
* Degree in business, supply chain management, or a related field is preferred but not essential
* CIPS qualification desirable or a willingness to work towards this
* Knowledge of procurement processes and contract basics
* Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
* Effective communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively.
* Familiarity with Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel.
* Ability to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
* Willingness to learn and develop procurement skills.
* Positive attitude and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
