Overview
We are seeking a friendly and proactive Administrative Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong organisational skills and a solid background in office administration. This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of daily administrative tasks, providing support to the nursery management team, and maintaining effective communication within the nursery.

Responsibilities
Welcoming parents, children, and visitors.
Communicating pleasantly and effectively in person, in writing and on the telephone.
To collect fees from parents/carers and to ensure that accurate invoices and transaction records are kept and updated as necessary. Collection of fees including the administration of Childcare vouchers and tax-free childcare, pursuing outstanding fees and resolving any account queries.
Pursuing outstanding fees proactively and in a timely manner.
Referring to and working with debt collection agencies when necessary.
Maintaining family and account records on nursery computer programme Parenta for which training will be provided. To maintain accurate databases and paper files as necessary.
Review of the monthly Fee Report. Raise any concerns with the Nursery Manager.
Maintaining accurate and confidential staff, children, and parent's records.
Keeping the office tidy.
Preparing banking.
Credit card reconciliation.
General computer use, accurate use of Microsoft Word and Excel and managing the nursery email.
To collate registers & waiting lists for children on a regular basis.
To prepare financial and other reports as required and to manage the petty cash system.
To process correspondence. To draft newsletters, and other literature, as required.
To collate orders for administrative supplies and facilitate payments.
To contribute to and attend his/her supervisions and staff appraisal.
To attend regular team meetings, training events or other meetings as identified by the Nursery Manager.
To take minutes as required.
To ensure adherence to nursery's code of practice on confidentiality.
To keep up to date with current good practice.
Undergo and attending in-service training which will enable you to work competently and safely according to the nursery. And also personally keeping up to date with changes in the curriculum and developments in best practice. Attending training and undertaking professional development activity as identified by the supervision and appraisal process.
To cover in the playrooms where needed.
Any other duties appropriate to the post as directed by the Nursery Manager/ Deputy Manager and to undertake additional duties as required, commensurate with the level of the job.
