Job Overview

We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic member of staff to support the Accounts Payable section.

The section is structured to give any ambitious successful applicant the opportunity to progress. We are looking for bright individuals who are IT competent, have an ability to prioritise demands, operate under their own initiative as well as part of the team.

This is a key post essential to the efficient operation of the section in paying weekly outstanding creditor invoices and as such will prove to be demanding. Full training will be given and successful applicants will be encouraged to pursue professional accountancy qualifications.

Main duties of the job

Ensure all actions required to facilitate prompt payment of supplier invoices are delivered in a professional and efficient manner.

To ensure a strong network of communication channels exists across all Trust services that will help facilitate prompt payments to suppliers via the most efficient methods.

Qualifications

Essential criteria

5 GCSEs at Grade C or above including English and Mathematics
Successfully achieved Intermediate level of AAT

Desirable criteria

Studying for Association of Accounting Technician
ECDL

Knowledge and Expertise

Essential criteria

Knowledge of finance computer systems and of others finance areas
Experience of working in a Finance environment
Track record of performance in delivering against tight deadlines

Desirable criteria

Awareness of basic accounting principles and techniques
