Scheme Manager
Manchester and Stretford
GBP 25,374 : GBP 26,159 per year
37.5 hours per week : Monday to Friday 8.30am to 4.00pm
We have an opportunity for two dynamic and self motivated Scheme Managers to join our team of 10. You will be responsible for providing a high:quality housing management service which will include tenancy management, signposting and advice, raising and following communal repairs through to completion and promoting independent living. This is a rewarding yet challenging role and is ideal for someone who can evidence utilising excellent communication skills to provide an exceptional experience for older people in a housing management setting, including awareness of safeguarding concerns.
Both positions are based in and around South Manchester.
One position is based at Tangmere Court, Whalley Range, where you will spend part of your week and you will also be responsible for Adastral House, Chorlton
The second position is based at Wellington House, Stretford, where you will spend part of your week and you will also be responsible for Roselea, Baguley
The role of Scheme Manager will include:

Providing tenancy management, signposting and advice to residents

Promoting independent living and sign posting to appropriate agencies

Encouraging residents to organise and get involved in activities

Completing mandatory compliance tasks along with health and safety checks

Reporting and monitoring repairs to conclusion, ensuring all necessary paperwork is completed
:
Wellbeing calls to residents via warden call system
:
Supporting the lettings team to manage vacant flats
:
Providing cover at schemes in the region for other Scheme Managers
:
Referring residents to support agencies when required and helping them access the different service available to them
:
Dealing with low level anti:social behaviour complaints within the scheme and resolving resident disputes
Skills and experiences:

Numeracy and literacy to the equivalent of GCSE Grade C or above in English and Maths

Some experience of working with older people and understanding their individual needs or similar

Ability to work alone and manage workloads to meet deadlines

Working knowledge of handling confidential and sensitive information

Good interpersonal and customer care skills
:
Basic knowledge of Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, Outlook and Teams
:
Travel is a requirement of the role, therefore a full valid driving licence and access to your own vehicle is essential
