Gardener / Grounds Maintenance Worker (Part-Time, Flexible Hours)
We are currently seeking a dedicated and skilled Gardener / Grounds Maintenance Worker to join our team on a part-time basis with flexible hours available. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working outdoors and takes pride in maintaining beautiful, functional green spaces.
Job Overview
The ideal candidate will be responsible for the upkeep and enhancement of outdoor areas, ensuring they remain tidy, healthy, and visually appealing. A good knowledge of horticulture and experience using both hand and power tools is essential.
Key Responsibilities
* Perform regular grounds maintenance including mowing, trimming, and edging lawns.
* Plant, grow, and care for a variety of plants, flowers, and shrubs.
* Operate hand and power tools safely and effectively for groundskeeping tasks.
* Water gardens and lawns to support plant health and growth.
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of tools, equipment, and work areas.
* Assist with the design and installation of new garden layouts or landscape projects.
* Monitor plant health, identifying signs of pests or disease.
* Work collaboratively with team members to ensure high standards of maintenance are met.
Experience & Skills
* Previous experience in gardening, landscaping, or grounds maintenance preferred.
* Knowledge of planting, pruning, and general horticultural practices.
* Skilled in the safe use of hand tools (shears, spades, rakes) and power tools (mowers, trimmers).
* Basic knowledge of irrigation systems is beneficial.
* A full, clean UK driving licence is required.
* Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality work.
* PA1 PA6 preferred.
