Areas We Cover
We are currently supporting schools in Chaddesden, Alvaston, Normanton, Oakwood, Allestree, Mickleover, Littleover, Spondon, Long Eaton, Melbourne, Chellaston, Sunnyhill, and Sinfin. These roles are primarily within supportive, well-established primary schools, with both live vacancies and anticipated future opportunities.
We’re recruiting for Booster Teachers to work in KS2, supporting pupils on a long-term, short-term, day-to-day, or part-time basis—depending on your availability and preference.
What is a Booster Teacher?
As a KS2 Booster Teacher, you’ll play a vital role in improving pupil outcomes and helping children reach the standards expected of them. You’ll work with targeted groups of pupils—often from multiple classes—carefully grouped by ability. Your sessions will focus on building confidence, closing learning gaps, and accelerating progress in key areas like maths and English.
You won’t just be supporting learning—you’ll be helping children believe in themselves again. These sessions are designed to make a measurable difference, especially for those who need an extra push to meet age-related expectations or succeed in SATs.
This is a highly collaborative role. You’ll work closely with classroom teachers and the wider school team to ensure your interventions are aligned, consistent, and focused on what each child really needs. You’ll be part of a joined-up effort to raise standards and help every child succeed.
Your work will have a direct and visible impact—and to recognise that, we offer some of the best daily rates around.
Working Hours
Your working timetable will depend on the role and the school, with flexibility to suit both full and part-time availability. We offer long-term, short-term, and day-to-day booster teaching roles. Planning may or may not be required depending on how the school structures their intervention sessions.
You’ll be supported throughout by both Classroom Recruiters and the school itself, allowing you to focus on maximising your teaching impact. SLT guidance and ECT cover time are built in where relevant, and your wellbeing and workload will always be considered.
Excellent Team and Leadership Support
You’ll be part of a strong, nurturing team environment and supported by senior leadership who are invested in your success and the progress of the pupils you support.
Qualifications Required:
* QTS (Qualified Teacher Status), PGCE, or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
Who We’re Looking For
We’re open to teachers from various backgrounds, including mainstream primary, intervention-focused roles, PRU, SEMH, and SEND settings. If you have a passion for supporting pupil progress and enjoy helping children overcome academic barriers—this role is for you.
Interview Process:
* Stage 1: Informal conversation with the Head of Year to discuss your experience and intervention focus.
* Stage 2: Meet with the Head Teacher and potentially deliver a short activity or booster session.
* Stage 3: Agree on a start date—many roles are ready for immediate starts or flexible trials.
This is your chance to focus on what you do best—teaching and making a real difference.
