Let us introduce the role Working within Operations Group, this role would be working within a team responsible for planning of demand and Materials. Working in a highly regulated environment, alongside our multi-functional Operations teams, the role of the Planner is to ensure on-time delivery is achieved, whilst ensuring use of critical resources are maximised, and communication within the supply chain is proactive and accurate. These roles are ideally suited to candidates with Material Planning / MRP (SAP) / Demand Planning experience. Due to the classified nature of the work involved, there are limited opportunities to work from home with these roles. It is anticipated that the successful candidates will spend the majority of their time working on site at AWE. Who are we looking for? We do need you to have the following: Experience of Production Planning. Experience of MS Office (Excel / Word / Outlook / PowerPoint / Project). Experience of working in operational environment, production, and or supply chain functions. Able to objectively make decisions based upon data. Experience of ERP / MRP2 systems. Whilst not to be considered a tick list, we’d like you to have experience in some of the following: SAP S4/HANA Inventory control processes. Lean principles. A relevant manufacturing or planning-related professional qualification. Demand planning experience. Key Accountabilities: Assist in the development of Plan For Every Part (PFEP) methodology and support ongoing stock replenishment mechanisms. Monitoring stock levels and inventory report outputs and ensuring issues are highlighted and/or escalated appropriately. Maintain and promote high personal standards in environment, safety, health, security and quality and be a great team player. Understand and create demand to satisfy customer demands. Key Responsibilities: Provide resolution of material queries through discussion with relevant stakeholders and customers. Maintain metrics in support of the material planning team strategy. Ensure on time delivery of material in line with the requirements of the production plan. Attend task reviews and de-conflict any emerging material requirements. Generation of material route cards, in line with specifications and the management of materials that require life control. Assisting in the resolution and/or escalation of any material related issues including root cause analysis. Monitoring of inventory levels and stock replenishment activities to ensure items are available prior to task commencement. Maintaining visual metrics for the Operational Delivery Units. Assist in improving processes and driving change in the department, including the installation and monitoring of material Pull and Flow systems. Promote and sponsor operational excellence and drive all actions aimed at continuous process improvement. Works effectively with others and building required relationships and interfaces to support delivery of the Programme.
