Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Pub Chef to join the team at this country gastropub. The ideal candidate will possess strong cooking skills, a passion for hospitality, and a comprehensive understanding of kitchen operations. You will be responsible for overseeing food preparation, ensuring high standards of food production, and maintaining a positive atmosphere within the kitchen.
Responsibilities
* Work alongside kitchen staff and management to ensure efficient food production processes.
* Complete daily kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation.
* Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, maintaining a clean and organised kitchen environment.
* Delivering the menu to specification, with an eye for detail when presenting dishes and managing portioning and wastage.
* Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction.
* Monitor inventory levels, placing orders for supplies as needed to maintain optimal stock levels.
* Implement quality control measures to guarantee the highest standards of food quality.
Experience
* Proven experience in a role within a kitchen or restaurant setting.
* Strong background in pub or restaurant kitchens where delivering consistent dishes under pressure.
* Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
* Knowledge of hospitality best practices and an understanding of customer service excellence.
* Ability to work alongside others in a collaborative work environment.
* Familiarity with inventory management, and cost control measures is advantageous.

Pay: £12.21-£14.00 per hour
