We’re looking for someone with previous experience in a Finance role to join our Financial Reporting Team, supporting the preparation of accounts for Screwfix UK & Ireland. In this role, you’ll work closely with colleagues across Operational Finance, Commercial Finance, and wider business teams – giving you fantastic exposure and the opportunity to develop skills that will support your future career progression. The closing date for applications is Monday 15th September 2025. Interviews will take place on the 23rd and 30th September 2025 at our head office in Yeovil. Responsibility for calculating and posting journals and accruals. Ensure month end processes are completed accurately and in accordance with both local and Kingfisher reporting deadlines. Own and reconcile relevant GL codes and provide explanations of movements. Assist with reporting requirements for month end, quarter end, half year and year end. Assist with preparation of statutory accounts and Annual Reports. Assist with preparation of budgets and forecasts. Financial administration including master data maintenance. Produce regular and ad hoc reports for internal use. Provide timely responses to finance queries. Support the wider finance team and any other ad-hoc work. Ensure all standard operating procedures are complete and updated annually. Ensure compliance with Group Financial Reporting Manual and Screwfix internal controls. Identify process improvement opportunities as part of Screwfix Smart Working. Support internal and external audits as required. Part qualified or qualified by experience, with experience working in a finance-based role(s). Intermediate to advanced Excel skills as a minimum. Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively across the business and with third parties.
