An onsite technical clerk plays a vital support role in engineering, construction, or industrial projects by handling documentation, data management, and administrative coordination directly at the project site. Here's a snapshot of what the role typically involves: Document Control : Managing technical documents, drawings, and reports—ensuring they’re properly filed, updated, and accessible to engineers and project managers. Data Entry & Tracking : Updating spreadsheets, databases, and logs related to project progress, materials, or equipment. Team Support : Assisting engineers and supervisors with compiling reports, preparing manuals, and chasing up deliverables. Communication : Liaising with internal teams and sometimes clients to ensure smooth information flow. Software Use : Proficiency in tools like Microsoft Office (especially Excel and Word), Adobe Acrobat, and sometimes project-specific systems. Work Packs : Creation of workpacks Must have Safety Passport or IOSH Working 11 day rolling fortnight, 10 x 10hrs days and 1 x 6hrs day. 37.5hr basic, overtime paid at basic rate.
