The role
As a Senior Electrical Control and Instrumentation Engineer, you’ll lead the delivery of complex, safety‑critical electrical, control and instrumentation solutions across the nuclear lifecycle, from new facilities through to operational support and decommissioning.
Day-to-day, you’ll be required to:
Leading the design, specification and integration of electrical, control and instrumentation systemsDelivering high‑quality engineering outputs that meet nuclear safety, quality and regulatory standardsCollaborating with project teams, safety case authors, commissioning engineers and stakeholdersReviewing technical documentation, calculations and specifications for compliance and robustnessSupporting continuous improvement and innovation within safety‑critical engineering solutionsThis is a full‑time, permanent role working 37 hours per week. The role can be based at any of our main UK locations, depending on project demand including Glasgow, Leicester, Bristol, Newbury or Warrington. Hybrid working patterns are available.
Essential experience of the Senior Electrical Control and Instrumentation Engineer:
Extensive experience designing and delivering electrical, control and instrumentation systemsProven application of nuclear or highly regulated industry standards and safety requirementsExperience contributing to complex, multidisciplinary engineering projectsAbility to engage effectively with regulators, clients and technical stakeholdersExperience producing and reviewing technical specifications, calculations and safety inputsQualifications of the Senior Electrical Control and Instrumentation Engineer:
Degree qualified in an electrical, control or instrumentation engineering discipline, or equivalent experienceProfessional registration with a recognised engineering institution is desirableSecurity Clearance
