Description Financial Planning Manager – 12 Month FTC Location: Commutable distance to Winchester / London The Financial Planning Manager for Strategic Planning Cycles is responsible for overseeing the company’s budget, reforecasting and long-term planning processes with an emphasis on clear communication, messaging and cash focus. This role plays a key part in consolidating and communicating financial insights to stakeholders while driving planning excellence across the organization. By collaborating closely with Commercial and Operations Finance Team, this role ensures that financial plans are aligned with business objectives. This role also provides essential support for Shareholders Investor queries and corporate finance initiatives. Our commitment to a flexible and hybrid working culture The role Planning Cycle Management: Manage the annual budgeting, reforecasting, and long-term planning cycles, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of consolidated financial plans for stakeholders, including shareholders, lenders, and rating agencies. Own the cash forecasting to improve accuracy and insight. Responsible for Strategic group financial planning to support any corporate activity or shareholder strategic initiatives. Financial and Commercial Acumen : build a strong understanding of the company’s products, services, and market dynamics to ensure accurate and clear communication to varied stakeholders and alignment to strategic goals. Work closely with the Commercial and Operations Finance teams to integrate business insights into planning cycles and validate financial assumptions. Reporting and Messaging of Financial Plans : Support the Head of Strategic Financial Planning and Shareholder Relations in preparing clear, concise financial presentations and reports for key stakeholders, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities considering requirements of different audiences. Cash forecasting: Lead cash and working capital forecasting transformation and monthly processes (including short and long term) in conjunction with cash reporting Team and Treasury Manager and drive increased insight for the Team and awareness of cash in the organisation. Forecasting systems : Own the relationship with Finance Systems team to ensure that Oracle EPM is successfully operated, kept up to date and continuously improved/developed and streamlined. The person • Experience of working in a FP&A roles at group level of a similar sized organisation • Proven ability to challenge and question proposals and submissions to ensure financials are consistent, reasonable and will stand up to scrutiny • Technical knowledge of relevant systems including Microsoft Office, Oracle Financials, Oracle EPM and Smartview • Strong Interpersonal skills, including ability to communicate persuasively • Ability to break down complex concepts and big amount of data in key messaging shaped to different audiences • Accounting qualification required (CIMA/ACCA/ACA/equivalent) or similar finance degree We are the undisputed leader in UK TV and radio broadcast, and the UK’s leading Smart utilities platform, directly shaping the future of connectivity.
