Brief Description
Network Rail is looking for a Planner to join the team in Milton Keynes. This detail‑oriented position involves providing national planning and administration support, communicating with colleagues across Network Rail. You’ll grow your skills in an environment that values training and development, supported by full training provision.

Salary: £33,252.00 Circa

Location: Milton Keynes – The Quadrant
The Role
* Work in partnership with external suppliers and internal colleagues to deliver seamless training services.
* Assist training delivery colleagues to plan new events and initiatives.
* Produce training delivery plans aligned with Network Rail Training Catalogues.
* Maximise trainer and venue utilisation through regular reporting, monitoring, and collaboration.
* Consider the health and wellbeing of trainers and customers when planning.
* Actively support delivery of Planning & Administration volumes.
* Understand approved supplier frameworks and adhere to policy when liaising with external suppliers.
* Predict costs for training delivery plans against customer budgets, monitoring records and identifying risks.
* Engage proactively with delivery colleagues for short and long‑term plan changes.
* Propose and help improve the Planning and Administration system.
* Pro‑actively manage personal development plan.
The Ideal Candidate
* Excellent communication and customer service skills.
* Attention to detail with a quality‑driven approach.
* Ability to organise and prioritise own workload.
* Understanding of the competence management system.
* Demonstrable experience of logistic planning.
What Could Set You Apart
* A knowledge of the railway industry and rail training sector.
* A knowledge of the training catalogue and training supply chain.
* Experience working in a training environment.
* Knowledge of Training Standards.
