South Norfolk and Broadland Council are on the lookout for new team members for their popular Kids Camp. If you're outgoing, energetic, and have a passion for helping young people develop their cognitive skills, confidence, health, and wellbeing whilst having fun, then read on! In this highly interactive role, your primary responsibility will be to focus on the young people at all times, ensuring their Health & Safety in line with Kids Camp policies and procedures, maintaining Ofsted standards. You will welcome leaders and introduce them to the children, caring for and encouraging those who may be nervous. About You The successful candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to relate well to young people and adults. Ideally you will have experience of working with the public in a friendly and approachable manner, together with the ability to work innovatively in organising activities. Experience of working with a wide range of children and young people is desirable. What you'll be doing… Always focus on the children. Ensure that all Kids Camp staff welcome and get to know the children, ensuring that their enjoyment is your prime concern. Care for and encourage children, integrating nervous children. Always ensure the Health and Safety of children. Be fully aware of Kids Camp policies and procedures. Ensure the safe and effective use of venue facilities and equipment. Respect the venue facilities and ensure they are treated with care and left clean and tidy at the end of each day. Check the equipment and resources daily and identify damaged items. Resolve day to day issues that may arise including child behavioural issues ensuring forms are completed correctly. Ensure any safeguarding concerns are dealt with appropriately and reported to the Designated Safeguarding Officer. Closing date: 21st June 2026 Interview date: To be confirmed Why Join Us?
