The Role
We’re looking for a couple of motivated and detail-oriented Credit Controllers to join the team. You could be an entry-level individual looking to build a career in finance, credit control, or client services or a more experienced credit controller looking for a change. Full training will be provided, along with ongoing support and development opportunities. This is a telephone based role where you’ll be responsible for minimising customer overdue debt, identifying risks early, and supporting the wider operations and risk teams to maintain portfolio quality.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage a portfolio of customer sales ledgers, ensuring timely collection of outstanding invoices
* Communicate professionally with customers via phone and email to chase payments
* Build strong relationships with customers
* Monitor debtor performance and escalate potential risks
* Maintain accurate records of communications and payment activity
* Assist with reconciliations, reporting, and ad hoc operational tasks
* Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth service delivery
About You
* Strong communication skills and a confident phone manner
* Excellent attention to detail and organisational ability
* A proactive, problem-solving mindset
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Basic understanding of finance or credit control (preferred but not essential)
* IT literate – comfortable using Excel and CRM systems
* Previous customer service or admin experience is a plus
* A proactive team player who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
