DRV (General Driving – 7.5, 3.5 Vans, Mini buses and Cars) Description Job Description: Drivers Direct Recruitment are looking to recruit a HGV 1 TRUNK NIGHT DRIVER on behalf of our client to join their team in Leeds. This is a class 1 position. 2 Years experience in class 1 needed to join. !!ONGOING ROLE!! HOURS TILL AT LEAST CHRISTMAS!! Hours of work: Nights 5 Days Averaging 10 - 11 hour shifts no later than 0400 finish (1700-0400) Afternoon / evening start times Salary: £17.39ph plus holiday pay (total £19.50ph inclusive of holiday pay) Minimum pay 8 hours per shift The Role: Trailer Swaps Refills / Reloads Follow, promote and communicate the use of safe working practices in line with all relevant Health and Safety Legislation and Company's procedures Duties/Responsibilities: Carrying out relevant daily vehicle safety checks and reporting as per Operational Procedures. Ensure all delivery and collections are carried out in accordance with company procedures. To complete all work related paperwork in full and hand in at the end of the shift. Essential Skills: Be able to work on own initiative Must hold a valid HGV 1 / Cat CE licence. Must hold a valid driver qualification (CPC) card. Must hold a valid Digital tacho card. Good communication skills. Good customer relations. Have a safe driving record. A minimum of 24 months' experience as a Class 1 driver No more than 6 minor penalty points due to insurance stipulations. No DR’s, IN’s or DD’s offence codes due to insurance stipulations.
