We are looking for
motivated and ambitious new team members to join our working within our Respiratory team. Our ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate post-registration experience in clinical practice with development against the RPS Foundation Pharmacy Framework, will be GPhC registered and be able to demonstrate their experience in clinical practice through application and interview showcasing their readiness to move into a more specialist role.
The post holder will be an integral member of the of the Multidisciplinary Team within University Hospitals Bristol and Weston NHS Foundation Trust and across the community. This role will provide specialist pharmacist support to patient and families within the outpatient asthma clinics. The post holder will be a qualified independent prescriber able with the ambition to develop competence to prescribe drugs for patients reviewed in asthma clinics. The post holder will utilise skills of clinical expertise, leadership, education and management to ensure seamless services for patients, carers and staff. S/he will provide advice, support and information from the time of diagnosis and throughout care pathway.
S/he will work closely with the multidisciplinary team in hospital and the community to ensure a co-ordinated quality service and will be actively involved in education, audit and research. The post holder will engage and lead discussions in multidisciplinary team meetings. The post holder will be required participate in the pharmacy department late, weekend and bank-holiday rotas.
As a member of the pharmacy team you will be required to provide general pharmaceutical duties to the various sections of the pharmacy department providing leadership and supervision for supporting staff.
