We're excited to be recruiting a dynamic and proactive Employment Officer to join our Connect to Work programme, supporting people across Blackburn, Darwen, and wider East Lancashire to find and sustain meaningful paid employment. Your mission? To empower individuals with disabilities to achieve their employment goals and thrive in work.
What You'll Be Doing
As an Employment Officer, you'll play a key role in transforming lives by:
Providing tailored, person-centred employment support, from job searching to workplace guidance when needed.
Maintaining high-quality systems and electronic records in line with contractual standards.
Managing your own caseload while upholding service standards and working collaboratively with your supervisor.
Working to clear targets, building positive relationships with the local labour market, and securing paid employment opportunities for the people you support.
Championing the ethos and values of our service, ensuring all support respects dignity and follows person‑centred best practice.
Partnering with local employers to agree reasonable adjustments, undertake job‑specific risk assessments, and shape inclusive job roles for disabled jobseekers.
Promoting the Connect to Work programme and building strong, ongoing relationships with employers across the region.
