Parkinson's Disease Nurse - Homecare (Produodopa Programme) Field-based | North, Midlands & South HealthNet Homecare supports over 180,000 patients across the UK, delivering specialist medication, nursing care and ongoing support directly into patients' homes. From rare and complex conditions through to more common therapies, our focus is simple - making life easier for patients and improving outcomes through safe, personalised care. We're now building out a specialist Parkinson's Disease nursing capability as part of a new and growing service focused on Produodopa treatment. This is a high-impact, field-based role supporting patients at the point of treatment initiation and beyond - combining clinical expertise, autonomy and the opportunity to shape how this service is delivered. The role You'll take ownership of a transient caseload of Parkinson's patients, supporting the initiation and ongoing management of Produodopa therapy across home and clinic settings. This role combines hands-on clinical delivery with wider responsibility for supporting the success and quality of the programme. Clinical responsibilities Manage a caseload of Parkinson's patients initiating and receiving Produodopa therapy Deliver safe, high-quality care in patients' homes and clinic environments Educate and support patients and carers to confidently manage their treatment Conduct home visits, virtual consultations and clinic support as required Work autonomously, making clinical decisions within your scope of practice Maintain accurate, compliant patient records in line with NMC and company standards Monitor patient progress and liaise with consultants and healthcare professionals to ensure optimal outcomes Support treatment adherence and a seamless transition between hospital and homecare Supervisory & programme responsibilities Act as a clinical specialist and role model for Parkinson's Disease care within the nursing team Support Clinical Team Managers in overseeing service delivery and maintaining high standards Provide guidance and support to nurses caring for Parkinson's patients across the regions Contribute to the development and delivery of Parkinson's / Produodopa training and competency programmes Support training compliance and capability building across the nursing workforce Work collaboratively with internal teams, the NHS and pharmaceutical partners to enhance patient outcomes Contribute to service development, audits, governance and continuous improvement of the programme Support the delivery of KPIs and overall success of the Parkinson's Patient Support Programme What we're looking for This role is suited to an experienced nurse with strong Parkinson's / neurology expertise who is confident working autonomously in a community setting. You'll likely bring: Current NMC registration Strong clinical experience within Parkinson's Disease or neurology Confidence managing patients independently in the community Experience with sub-cut therapies / infusions Experience supporting or guiding other clinicians Just as important is your approach - calm, credible, patient-focused, and able to build trust quickly across a range of stakeholders.
