Finance Manager | Gloucester (3-4 days in office) | £48,000 - £55,000
We are currently partnering with a well-established leader in the services sector with a long-standing reputation for technical excellence and a heritage built over decades of successful project delivery. This is the perfect role for a qualified accountant to remain hands on, but add value in both improving processes and getting involved in commercial projects.
Responsibilities will include:
* Full responsibility for preparation of monthly management accounts and financial reports across the group P&L and supporting the consolidated group balance sheet and cash flow production
* Prepare and post journals, including accruals, prepayments, deferred income, adjustments and reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards
* Prepare, review and reconcile key balance sheet accounts, including intercompany, fixed assets and control accounts in line with group expectations
* Provide detailed variance analysis, commentary and ad hoc analysis work
* Preparation of ah hoc financial analysis, forecasts and external reporting
* Support the preparation of group-level tax information, statutory accounts and wider reporting requirements.
* Collaborate and support on budgeting and forecasting
* Support year end processes, external audit and statutory account preparation
* Oversee and mentor the finance team, fostering a collaborative, hands on team culture
Your Profile:
* CIMA / ACMA / ACCA / ACA Qualified
* Experience in management accounting
* Hands on as well as leading a team
* Strong Excel experience
* Closely located to site in Gloucester
