About the role
As a Section Manager in one of our Customer Delivery Hubs, you'll manage a team of Partners responsible for direct-to-customer deliveries. You will ensure the smooth operation of the supply chain and maintain the high customer service standards expected of the John Lewis brand. You will also ensure compliance with legal rules and regulations and meet operational KPIs / SLAs aligned with Partner, customer, and business profitability metrics.

* Role Title: Section Manager, Customer Delivery Hub
* Position: Permanent
* Hours of Work: Full Time, 37.5 hours/week, Monday to Friday or Tuesday to Saturday, 14:00-22:00
* Location: Avonmouth CDH
* Salary: £33,000 - £52,500 annually
* This role may include a shift premium of 22.5%, up to an additional £7,425 annually.
Key Responsibilities
* Planning operational resources daily and weekly with Partners and agency.
* Developing and maintaining effective communication with operational teams.
* Monitoring KPIs for trends and opportunities for improvement.
* Managing driver requirements such as dart tags, fuel cards, and vehicle keys.
* Communicating daily with the transport planning team.
* Managing the transport office operations, including schedules and conference calls.
* Being flexible with working hours, including out-of-hours and key holder responsibilities, ensuring business continuity.
* Acting responsibly in line with CSR commitments and waste management policies.
Essential Skills/Experience
* Knowledge of transport operations and legal compliance.
* Current driving license and Driver CPC qualification.
Desirable Skills/Experience
* Additional knowledge of transport operations and legal compliance.
* Experience managing disciplinaries and grievances.
* C1 UK Driving License.
* Experience in hiring and recruitment.
* Incident management experience.
