Quantity Surveyor - M&E
Location: Edinburgh
Salary: £50,000 to £65,000 plus £6,180 pa Car Allowance
Immediate start for the right candidate
The Package includes:
* Salary banding (Dependent on experience): £50K - £65K
* Monthly car allowance: £515 / £6,180 pa
* Annual holidays: 32 days
* Company contribution to Pension: 4% (On completion of probation)

* Discretionary Incentive scheme (dependent on individual and company performance)

Role
Mechanical and Electrical Quantity Surveyor responsible for the commercial management of projects for internal and external clients. The role reports to the Head of the Commercial Department.
Experience / Qualifications
* Minimum of 5 years post-qualification experience
* HND / HNC / Degree in Quantity Surveying
Key Responsibilities
* Awareness of different Forms of contracts
* Advising on procurement strategies where applicable
* Review contract conditions and report concerns or recommendations to Regional Directors
* Assist in reviewing and negotiating contract documents for new projects
* Preparing subcontract documents and procuring subcontractors
* Managing costs on Mechanical and Electrical projects
* Undertaking cost value analysis and reporting
* Performing risk and value management and cost control
* Identify, analyze, and respond to commercial risks
* Price variations and obtain client agreement
* Compile project budgets and cost to complete
* Present final accounts for sign-off
* Provide commercial advice to operational teams
* Assist in contractual claims
* Promote health and safety procedures
* Ensure compliance with company policies
