Archer Resourcing has a great opportunity for a mental health social worker to join the team in Antrim. The right candidate may gain clients through referrals in their work setting or via therapist services and recommendations. Social workers perform roles similar to counselors and are among the largest groups of mental health service providers, working with at-risk and vulnerable populations. This role is based within a hospital and includes community work.
Responsibilities:
* Assess clients' needs based on their history and current situation
* Provide mental health strategies to help clients cope with challenges
* Refer resources and support to clients
* Follow up and monitor clients' progress
* Offer psychotherapy services
* Address physical issues related to mental health challenges, such as sleep problems, diet, pain, low energy, substance abuse, and self-harm
* Assist clients in managing life stress and issues like hopelessness, apathy, anger, sadness, and conflict
* Work collaboratively with clients to achieve their goals and make meaningful contributions
* Enhance clients' motivation to lead impactful lives
Additionally, they may facilitate support groups, such as those for addiction, and collaborate with other healthcare professionals like doctors or school administrators when treating student clients.

Candidate Requirements:
* Degree approved by the Northern Ireland Social Care Council (NISCC)
* At least 1 year of experience working within Mental Health Services as a qualified Social Worker in the UK
* Current NISCC registration and Access NI clearance
