Lead Clinician – Practitioner Psychologist
Bluebank School – Derbyshire S41 8LQ


Overview

We are looking for a Lead Clinician - Practitioner Psychologist to manage our in-house Clinical Team at Bluebank School, Derbyshire. The postholder will work collaboratively with the school’s Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and the Regional Clinical Lead. The role will be split between clinically leading the team and holding a therapy caseload, delivering bespoke assessment and intervention plans for students with complex profiles of need (autism, neurodivergence, developmental trauma, SEMH). Meeting the needs of EHCP plans will be a primary focus, targeted via the OFG group and individual clinical approaches embedded into our practice. The postholder will coordinate line management of the onsite clinical team and lead service development of the school-based clinical service, alongside the school SLT and Regional Clinical Lead. Our clinical teams maintain a person-centered, safeguarding-focused approach to support pupils to flourish and gain independence.


Responsibilities

* Clinically lead and line-manage the on-site clinical team at Bluebank School.
* Deliver bespoke assessment and intervention plans for pupils with complex needs arising from autism, neurodivergence, developmental trauma and SEMH.
* Collaborate with the school SLT and Regional Clinical Lead to coordinate service development of the school-based clinical service.
* Ensure care plans align with EHCP requirements and target-led delivery using OFG’s all/group/individual clinical approaches.
* Maintain a person-centred, safeguarding-focused practice and involve pupils in decisions affecting them.


Qualifications

* HCPC registration is essential.
* Full valid UK driving license and access to own vehicle.


Location

Bluebank School – Derbyshire S41 8LQ. Bluebank School forms part of our Acorn Education brand and is an independent specialist day school for young people aged 11–16. Opening Spring 2026.


Contract and Hours

Permanent contract. 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Term-time only or flexibility around a full-time contract can be discussed based on personal circumstances.
