Central Employment is delighted to announce its collaboration with a new client in the property industry, currently seeking to hire an Office and Finance Manager for their Hexham site.
Duties & Responsibilities:
* Ensuring data compliance, encompassing GDPR responsibilities, data entry into accounting software, and inputting data for budgetary purposes.
* Managing VAT for the Partnership.
* Supervising payroll for wages.
* Handling the annual renewal of estate insurance and motor insurance.
* Generating inter-partnership management fees.
* Creating and tracking sales invoices, and following up on outstanding payments.
* Distributing supplier payments for approval and processing month-end payments.
* Overseeing year-end accounts, producing reports for accountants, and resolving any queries.
* Addressing general office inquiries and issues.
* Managing HR issues for the estate office and maintaining the estate staff holiday chart.
* Establishing and implementing office policies and procedures.
* Reconciling credit card statements.
* Conducting a range of computing tasks, including using Word, Excel, and other databases.
* Collaborating with Heads of Department, Estate Owner, and Estate Manager to address the above tasks and assist with queries or arrange wider estate team support.
Requirements:
* Background in financial roles
* Qualification in accountancy/bookkeeping or equivalent relevant experience
* Previous experience with accountancy software
* Knowledge or experience in VAT management, including partial exemption and VAT account adjustments (desirable)
* Strong organizational skills
* Exceptional attention to detail
* Ability to prioritize and manage workload effectively
Benefits & Hours:
* Competitive salary is dependent on prior experience and skills base ranging from £28,000 – £32,000 per annum.
