SEN Teaching Assistant

The Role
Full-time position, Monday to Friday
Based in a primary school in St Helens
Start date: ASAP
Working with children who have a range of special educational needs including autism, speech and language difficulties, and SEMH
Main Duties
* Supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis or in small groups to help them access the curriculum
* Assisting the class teacher in adapting resources and activities
* Implementing individual learning and behaviour support plans
* Building positive, trusting relationships with pupils and staff
The Ideal Candidate Will
* Have prior experience supporting children with SEN, particularly in a school or childcare setting
* Be calm, flexible, and proactive in their approach
* Work effectively as part of a team
* Hold a relevant qualification such as a Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant certificate (preferred but not essential)
