Job Summary
We are seeking an enthusiastic and caring trainee Dental Nurse to join our amazing team. The ideal candidate will attend College on day release, with the rest of your training completed in house. Once fully trained you will assist the dentist in delivering high-quality dental services while ensuring a safe, comfortable and welcoming environment for our patients.
Qualifications
National 5 qualification in English, Maths and a science subject are preferred but not essential.
Duties

* Assist the dentist during examinations and treatments, ensuring all necessary instruments are prepared and sterilised.
* Provide excellent patient care by reassuring patients, explaining procedures, and addressing any concerns they may have.
* Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with health regulations.
* Manage appointment scheduling and follow-up communications with patients to ensure continuity of care.
* Ensure the dental surgery is clean, organised, and well-stocked with necessary supplies.
* Adhere to practice protocols and maintain a safe working environment for both staff and patients.
Qualities and skills
* Kind and sympathetic in nature, to care for often nervous patients.
* Be able to communicate efficiently in a polite and courteous manner with patients and colleagues.
* Able to work well as part of a team, alongside different colleagues.
* Great organisational skills, planning and thinking ahead to ensure smooth running of the dental surgery.
* Awareness of the importance of a clinical environment, cross infection control and personal hygiene.
* Basic IT skills for managing dental software.

Pay: From £16,224.00 per year
Expected hours: 25 – 39 per week
