Information Security Operations Manager
One of the UK’s leading providers of critical infrastructure for trade is seeking a SecOps Manager.
This role involves leading the operations activities of the Information Security team to ensure the highest quality protections are delivered to the business. The manager will administer, prioritize, monitor, and conduct business-as-usual Computer Security, Information Security, and Cyber Security activities in line with technical and business strategies, adhering to industry best practices.
Key responsibilities include:
* Developing and supporting the Information Security team in DevSecOps practices.
* Managing relationships with security partners.
* Participating in management and governance forums to promote cybersecurity best practices.
* Deputising for the Information Security Lead, including responding to security incidents.
* Maintaining and testing security operations technologies such as antivirus, data encryption, identity management, and cloud security.
* Reporting on security status and supporting audits and incident investigations.
* Performing risk assessments and testing systems to identify vulnerabilities.
* Collaborating with other teams on disaster recovery planning.
* Keeping current with the latest security threats and industry developments.
Required skills and qualifications:
* Industry-recognized security certifications (e.g., Microsoft certifications, CISMP, CEH).
* Experience in security operations and IT technical background.
* Strong communication skills for reporting and guiding staff.
* Ability to work independently and meet deadlines and budgets.
* Willingness to travel as needed.
* Experience with infrastructure security tools and knowledge of ISMS, NIS Regulations, GDPR, and ITIL.
* In-depth experience with MS cloud technologies such as Intune, Defender suite, Azure, and Entra.
