The Global Medical Affairs (GMA) Director Rare Diseases is a key member of the Rare Diseases team and reporting to the Vice President, Global Medical Affairs. As the Global Medical Affairs (GMA) Director Rare Diseases, you act as the Medical Affairs Asset Lead to ensure strategic design and operational excellence in execution of global medical affairs programs with a core focus on driving the global integrated evidence generation activities and medical access. You are a key member of the Global Asset Team that successfully defines and delivers the integrated asset strategy and plan, which will include development, regulatory, and commercialization plans. In this key leadership role, you will have the managerial responsibility of your direct reports within the GMA rare disease team. You will collaborate in a matrix environment with a broad range of leaders from other divisions, enabling functions to align strategies, deliverables, and resources. Knowledge expert and ambassador for Medical Affairs internally and externally, with representatives from the patients and scientific community. In this role your primary focus will be: Represent GMA as the Asset Medical Affairs Lead within the Asset Team and Lead relevant Asset sub-teams Drive the development of the Asset Integrated Evidence Generation Strategy Lead the development of the Medical Access Strategy and drive its execution Manager of his/her direct reports within the GMA Rare Disease Therapeutic Arera In order to be considered for this role you will have an appropriate level of qualification (e.g. Ph.D., MD, PharmD), coupled with a proven track record of leading a high performance team as well as leading the development and execution of medical/scientific strategies and plans.
