We have an excellent career opportunity for the role of Care Coordinator to join our amazing team here at Visiting Angels in the Dalkeith area. We are a 5 Star rated service following our recent Care Inspection in September 2025, we are proud to say we are rated 5's across the board. This reflects the outstanding quality of our team and the service we deliver. You will be working alongside our current care coordinator and management team. We are an award winning, growing service. We cover Edinburgh and The Lothians. Candidates must be willing to travel as part of the role. Drivers License and a car is essential.

Pay: Up to£27,495 per year

Working times:

* 37.5 hours: Monday - Friday, 9-5pm. Will be expected to work outwith usual working hours at times.

The role:

Not like other care co-ordinator roles. Being carer-centric means taking care of the team, finding out about their needs and restrictions with work, and serving our clients within expected time frames. Need to be good at problem solving, and thinking fast on your feet. We are seeking a highly ambitious, organised and compassionate individual to join our team as a Care Coordinator. As a Care Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in assisting clients and their families in navigating the care system and coordinating their care. This is an office-based position that requires excellent communication and organisational skills.

Duties:

Assist clients in understanding their care options and making informed decisions

- Collaborate with our care team professionals to ensure continuity of care

- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records

- Provide support and guidance to clients and their families throughout the care process

- Assist in the development and implementation of care plans

- Monitor client progress and make necessary adjustments to care plans as needed

Qualifications

- Previous experience in a healthcare or social services setting is highly desirable

- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills

- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Compassionate and empathetic nature

- Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills
