About the Role
In this role, you will focus on providing support in various sub-categories within the Technology space. Your ability to manage Software categories will help us advance opportunities and increase value in this complex area of spend.
You will leverage best practice analytics around organizational spend and usage, facilitate and support the strategic sourcing process for broad Software engagements, engage with stakeholders (often at senior levels), and lead contracting efforts (NDAs, MSAs, Order Forms).
Responsibilities:
1. Conduct opportunity analysis by reviewing and analyzing data on spend and usage with current suppliers.
2. Use internal spend and market data to assist with rate analytics modeling for stakeholders.
3. Collaborate with IT, finance, legal, security, and other departments to align software procurement strategies.
4. Support the business with ad-hoc requirements such as contracting and price negotiations when strategic sourcing support is limited.
5. Lead contracting efforts for complex MSAs, Order Forms, and NDAs, liaising with legal teams as needed.
6. Manage stakeholder requirements and expectations to align with category strategy.
7. Identify opportunities and facilitate the strategic sourcing process for new projects, ensuring optimal commercial and service delivery.
8. Develop relationships with software suppliers to ensure delivery and value creation, implementing an effective Supplier Relationship Management Program.
9. Contribute to cost savings through project participation and completion.
10. Support relevant systems and tools, update procurement projects in the pipeline, and ensure agreements are loaded into the database.
11. Work with Global Procurement PMO and stakeholders to assess and approve/reject new suppliers.
Requirements:
1. Relevant education in procurement, finance, or related fields.
2. CPM/CIPS certification is a plus.
3. Experience in strategic sourcing, procurement best practices, category management, and managing supplier relationships, especially in Technology categories like enterprise software, cloud solutions, and SaaS platforms.
4. Excellent analytical and quantitative skills, with a proven track record of success.
5. Ability to manage multiple programs involving various stakeholders under tight deadlines and changing conditions.
6. Effective communication skills at all organizational levels.
7. Experience in writing and issuing RFPs, RFIs, and RFQs.
8. Negotiation skills for reviewing, drafting, and contracting.
