These are exciting times at Tunbridge Wells Borough Council! We are currently at Examination on our Borough wide Local Plan and have commenced work on the Royal Tunbridge Wells Town Centre Plan, which is currently the subject of its first stage of public consultation.
We are seeking to recruit a Senior Planning Officer at Grade H to work within the Planning Policy Team and are interested in hearing from positive, energetic, and conscientious candidates from either a Planning Policy or Development Management background. The postholder will play an important role in progressing the current work as well as a range of other policy related projects across the team, the wider planning service and with other council departments.
We have a flexible approach throughout our Planning Service, which is to support staff as they develop, providing opportunities to broaden and deepen their experience and skills to progress their career in planning, as well as the opportunity to work across both Planning Policy and Development Management, depending on the business needs of the Service and the career aspirations of the successful candidate.
