Location: Saffron Walden, moving to Braintree Sept 2025
Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00AM TO 16:30PM, 40 hours a week
Salary: GBP16.35 an hour, weekly pay
Must be a driver, due to location change
Temporary, Immediate Start Available
An excellent opportunity has now arisen for an experienced Buyer to join a fast growing client based in Saffron Walden.
Duties of a Buyer:
* Generate and submit general inventory and material POs (using supply chain websites & e-mail address)
* Expedite POs to meet agreed due dates and update system accordingly.
* Liaise with Production Manager and team leaders to establish product deliverables against project timelines.
* Generate quotations through the system
* Manage the following; Stock, Demand, Inspect, Scheduling, Spares, Pricing
What we would like from you:
* Previous experience in a purchasing or buyer role (aviation/MRO sector a bonus)
* Familiarity with procurement systems (e.g., Aerotrac or similar ERP)
* Strong understanding of inventory, demand planning, and supplier management
* Excellent communication and negotiation skills
* High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
* Ability to prioritise and work to deadlines in a fast-paced environment
