Infection Prevention Data Administrator (Band 2)
This role is open exclusively for internal staff of Isle of Wight NHS Trust and Portsmouth Hospitals University NHS Trust.
Salary £25,272 per annum
Hours full-time 37.5 per week

Key Responsibilities
* Enter and maintain accurate infection prevention data sets.
* Support the Data Analyst in producing key datasets and monitoring Trust performance.
* Monitor information variances, investigate discrepancies, and advocate data collection improvements.
* Assist with day‑to‑day management of the information systems, ensuring data is stored appropriately and systems are used correctly.
* Collect and enter data for Surgical Site Infection Surveillance.
* Respond to information requests and refer to appropriate team members.
* Provide effective administrative support to the Infection Prevention and Control Team.
* Administer key departmental meetings/committees, booking venues, generating agendas, and recording minutes with an accurate audit trail.
* Handle telephone enquiries and visitors promptly and efficiently.
Essential Skills and Knowledge
* Good literacy, numeracy and communication skills.
* Strong organisational skills, ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
* Capacity to prioritise workload and manage tight deadlines.
* High level of accuracy and ability to analyse numerical and written data.
* Understanding of database systems and data warehouse systems.
Essential Qualifications
* Good standard of education; GCSE Maths and English grade C or above, or equivalent.
* Data administration experience.
Desirable
* Experience in NHS working environment.
