Job Description
You’ll be responsible for driving the successful technical and contractual delivery of complex fire detection systems within a major energy infrastructure project.
You’ll act as the key link between engineering, procurement, suppliers, and the client — ensuring all systems are designed, built, and commissioned safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.
Your work will help safeguard one of the UK’s most safety-critical environments, supporting the integration of advanced fire protection technologies across nuclear facilities.
Responsibilities
* Oversee the engineering lifecycle of fire detection and alarm systems — from technical specification to site installation and acceptance.
* Coordinate the interface between design, safety, and systems engineering teams, ensuring consistent technical alignment.
* Drive supplier engagement and performance tracking, ensuring deliverables meet design intent, regulatory standards, and project milestones.
* Lead engineering reviews, validating design documentation, drawings, and compliance evidence against contractual and safety requirements.
* Support the management of project risks, engineering changes, and configuration updates, maintaining traceability across all project phases.
* Facilitate clear communication between internal stakeholders, contractors, and client representatives to resolve technical or schedule challenges early.
* Champion best practice in safety, quality assurance, and continuous improvement across all fire detection system activities.
