Boutique Commercial and IP team are looking for a solicitor with between 1 and 4 Years' PQE to join them. You can be based in either Edinburgh or Glasgow, with (a very good) hybrid working policy (2 days in the office) available. This team are very open to applicants from both private practice and inhouse. This is a very rare opportunity – this team almost never hires externally (it has a very high retention rate). It is a full-service commercial team allowing exposure to soft IP, commercial contracts (including SAAS, IT and outsourcing) data privacy and compliance matters for clients in the tech, life-sciences, education and retail sectors. It is a self-sustaining practice with virtually no corporate support work. This firm are renowned for striking the balance between high quality work and client base and a strong work-life balance. This team are regularly logged-off by 6pm and late-night/weekend working is non-existent. The team are collaborative, friendly and led by a highly supportive Partner. The immediate team is small but perfectly stocked for the volume of work it handles. Workloads are comfortable and there is plenty of room at the top for those who wish to move into legal director / Partner positions, with no requirement for ‘time-served’ – at this firm, if you are good enough, you are old enough.
