Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a General Adult Psychiatry Consultant located in the South East region. The Consultant will provide psychiatric assessments, formulate treatment plans, and deliver direct patient care. Responsibilities include leading multidisciplinary teams, collaborating with colleagues to ensure high-quality care, and maintaining accurate clinical documentation. The role involves participating in case discussions, advising on treatment strategies, and engaging in continued professional development activities to remain updated on best practices and advancements in the field.
Qualifications
* Proven expertise in General Psychiatry and ability to assess and manage a wide range of mental health conditions
* Strong diagnostic and treatment planning skills, along with clinical decision-making abilities
* Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and collaborate effectively with diverse healthcare professionals
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for patient consultations, case discussions, and team collaboration
* MRCPsych (or equivalent qualifications) and be registered with the General Medical Council (GMC) with a license to practice
* Commitment to maintaining professional development and knowledge of current medical guidelines
* Experience in a hospital, community, or private practice setting is desirable
* Resilient and adaptable approach to working in a busy clinical environment
