Ensure compliance with environmental, quality, and safety standards while supporting continuous improvement. **What you will be responsible for:** * Undertake reactive and planned maintenance of plant and equipment, including motors, starters, and variable speed drives.* Install new plant and equipment as required, ensuring safe integration of electrical systems such as drives and motor control setups.* Respond to alarms and fault‐find issues on electrical assets, fixing or escalating as needed.* Carry out inspection and testing on electrical equipment following company procedures and industry standards.* Provide technical expertise to internal teams and external contractors, particularly around motor control and automation equipment.* Update company systems and databases accurately and promptly.* Potential to participate in standby cover on a 1-in-7 rota basis.**Additional Requirements:** Standby cover If/When required on a 1-in-7 rota basis. **What you’ll bring to the role:** Essential * Level 3 NVQ Electrical qualification with certificates.* Full UK driving licence.* Problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.Desirable * Experience in water industry.* Strong understanding of pumping station operation and wastewater treatment process.* Knowledge of health and safety legislation.**Progression opportunities** Southern Water offers career progression, training, and development opportunities. **About Southern Water** Southern Water is at the forefront of transforming Britain’s water industry, investing significantly to enhance resilience, sustainability, and service excellence.
