Working Conditions:
* Fixed night shift schedule (start time of 9PM but can change depending on business need).

* Knowledge of reading an Explanation of Benefits (EOB), denial management, and denial codes is required.

We provide the backbone systems and operational processes which completely, accurately, and validly pay Amazon’s suppliers, invoice our customers, and report financial results. Amazon is quickly building the Healthcare Finance Operations capabilities by creating the Healthcare Finance Operations Services.
As part of the Amazon Healthcare Global Finance Operations Services team, you will work with exceptionally talented and determined people committed to driving financial improvement, scalability, and process excellence. To support the growth of Amazon HealthCare, this candidate must possess a strong passion for accountability, setting high standards, raising the bar, and driving results through constant focus on improving existing and future operations, systems, and processes in collaboration with management.
As we continue to grow and scale our ability to provide innovative primary care across the country, the supporting teams are expanding. Amazon Healthcare is seeking Patient Financial Services professionals (RCM) for the Revenue Cycle team. As a member, you will ensure our members receive the best billing experience. You will assist administrators with member inquiries and proactively reach out to members with large balances.
Key job responsibilities
1. Handle tasks via our offline chat using One Medical tools.
2. Oversee revenue cycle management operations while ensuring compliance with healthcare billing regulations.
3. Assist admins with billing needs via 1Life’s tasking system to provide excellent customer service.
4. Answer patient inquiries for complex billing cases and questions.
5. Investigate claims through insurance to ensure they were processed according to the patient benefit plan via internal tools.
6. Support processes aimed at empowering patients to resolve financial responsibilities.
7. Review and reconcile patient and insurance balances for accuracy.
8. Manage the member statement process, ensuring bills are sent efficiently and accurately.
9. Maintain service level agreements in response time to admins and patients.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
1. Bachelor’s degree in any field.
2. At least 1 year of experience in Accounts Receivable in RCM or US healthcare revenue cycle operations.
3. Knowledge of reading EOBs, denial management, and denial codes.
4. Familiarity with Medicare and Medicare Advantage programs.
5. Understanding of Coordination of Benefits and Eligibility.
6. Customer service experience related to revenue cycle billing and insurance.
7. Experience in shared services environments with productivity targets.
8. Experience in US healthcare and insurance landscape.
9. Understanding of basic accounting principles and receivables management.
10. Ability to adhere to policies and procedures as defined by leadership.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
1. Over 2 years of experience with US healthcare and health insurance industry.
2. Prior AR Collections or back-office experience.
3. CRCR certification preferred.
4. Experience leading or participating in Six Sigma, Kaizen, or Lean projects.
