About the Accounts Assistant job
Supporting the Head of Accounts, the purpose of your role will be to take responsibility for managing the business’s daily financial activities, ensuring accurate recording of all purchases, sales, receipts, and payments.
Key tasks
* Record daily financial transactions and keep the general ledger up to date.
* Reconcile bank statements and ensure all financial records are accurate.
* Oversee accounts payable and receivable, including issuing invoices and processing supplier payments.
* Maintain well‑organised financial documentation to support compliance and audit requirements.
* Assist with the preparation and submission of multiple VAT returns.
* Carry out credit control duties as well as performing a range of general bookkeeping tasks as required.
About You
* The successful candidate shall have 3 years bookkeeping experience.
* Confident with Finance Software and Microsoft Office.
* Be a confident communicator, both verbally and written as well as a good problem solver and logical thinker.
* A background with an Import/Export company would be advantageous.

The Accounts Assistant job (ref:9021) is paying £26,000 - £28,000 according to your experience.
The package includes a Private Healthcare plan.
The working hours are Monday to Friday, standard office Hours.
The site is in Wirral and is commutable from Moreton, Birkenhead, Neston, Bromborough, Liverpool and surrounding areas.
