About the Role
We are currently seeking a compassionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming Special Educational Needs (SEN) School based in Norwich, Norfolk from September 2026.
This is a rewarding opportunity to support pupils with a range of additional needs, helping them to access education in a safe, structured, and nurturing environment. You will work closely with teachers and support staff to deliver tailored support to students both in and out of the classroom.
Key Responsibilities
· Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with SEN
· Assist in the delivery of personalised learning plans
· Support pupils with communication, emotional regulation, and social development
· Promote a positive, safe, and inclusive learning environment
· Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and wider staff teams
· Monitor and record pupil progress and behaviour
We are looking for individuals who are:
· Passionate about supporting children with special educational needs
· Patient, empathetic, and resilient
· Able to build strong relationships with pupils and staff
· Flexible and proactive in responding to individual pupil needs
Desirable (but not essential):
· Previous experience working within an SEN setting
· Experience supporting needs such as Autism (ASC), ADHD, SEMH, or complex needs
· Relevant qualifications in education, childcare, or support work
