SKILLS, ABILITIES & KNOWLEDGE
Essential criteria
11. Knowledge of Microsoft Office Products
12. Good written and telephone communication skills, to enable liaison with staff at all levels
13. Ability to organise and prioritise busy workload
14. Happy to work as part of a team
15. Ability to cover the duties of other secretarial staff
Desirable criteria
16. Knowledge of Data Protection Act 1998, (ability to maintain patient confidentiality)
17. Knowledge of Trust systems
EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS & TRAINING
Essential criteria
18. GCSE Grade C or above/ equivalent in English language
19. RSA II typing, or equivalent
20. Medical Secretarial Course/ Medical Terminology Course, Or ability to demonstrate equivalent
EXPERIENCE
Essential criteria
21. Experience of working within the NHS in a similar setting
22. Experience of working within a busy office environment
23. Experience of audio typing
24. Experience of working in an environment dealing with Highly confidential data
SPECIAL CIRCUMSTANCES
Essential criteria
25. Willing to travel between the 3 hospital sites within the trust
26. Able to maintain a flexible approach to the role and duties
