We’re working with an established independent hospital in London who are embarking on a pivotal transformation journey, and we’re seeking a Head of Procurement & Supply Chain to support that change. Sitting at the heart of the community, the hospital offers vital services with a collaborative and passionate team supporting it.The RoleThis is not a steady-state procurement leadership role it’s a rare opportunity to join an organisation with a shared transformation vision and be part of the journey to develop a high-performing procurement function.Reporting into senior leadership, you will be central to a major transformation programme that spans governance improvement and supplier strategy. You’ll have full visibility and influence at C-suite level and will lead a small team as they transition back in-house from an outsourced model.Your core responsibilities will include:Leading procurement and supply chain operations across complex service contracts and high-value clinical consumablesEnsuring value is achieved and quality is maintainedDelivering a robust sourcing plan and supplier strategyDriving governance improvements, including medical device complianceManaging and mentoring a transitioning teamBuilding strong relationships with clinical, operational, and executive stakeholdersEnsuring alignment with financial targets and broader organisational goalsAbout YouWe’re looking for a diplomatic, emotionally intelligent leader with a track record of delivering procurement transformation. You’ll be confident in regulated environments, ideally with some exposure to healthcare, and comfortable managing people through change.You’ll bring:Minimum 2–3 years of procurement leadership experienceStrong background in supply chain, ideally with outsourcing/hybrid modelsDemonstrable experience in contracts management and negotiationStrong eye for detailCan demonstrate innovation and new thinkingDemonstrable experience managing £10m plus annual spend.Private or charitable healthcare experience is preferred but other regulated sectors will be considered as well.Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, including C-suite interactionAppetite for new technologies and analytics-driven procurementAbility to lead sensitively, communicate rationale clearly, and support the team through transitionAbove all, you’ll be someone who can bring structure and pace to a values-led organisation, guiding people through change while building capability for the future.Why Join?You’ll be part of a healthcare organisation that delivers more than just clinical excellence - it directly supports community across London.
