About the Post
We are looking for a residential support worker to care for children and young people in our services. The role requires a high level of compassion, resilience, and dedication.
Responsibilities
* Provide a high standard of care, engaging and nurturing children and young people.
* Keep children safe, helping them learn, develop, have fun and experience new opportunities.
* Work 24/7 care on a rota basis: early, afternoons and waking nights, including weekdays, weekends, bank holidays and sleeping duties.
* Support the team to cover shift patterns and meet the assessed needs of children and young people.
* Contribute to protection and safeguarding of children, promote their education, health and wellbeing.
* Maintain and develop a quality service, working as part of a team.
Qualifications and Requirements
* Speak English to an appropriate standard.
* Hold a relevant Level 3 qualification, or commit to completing a Level 3 Diploma within 12 months of appointment.
* Experience working in a residential environment with children/young people and/or adults with emotional and behavioural needs.
* Good IT skills.
* Enhanced DBS check required.
* Visa requirements: must have a valid visa or work permit; no sponsorship available.
* Prepared to start work with all necessary legal documents.
Employment Details
* Salary: £35,412 – £38,220 Pro rata
* Hours per week: 28
* Contract type: Permanent
