Role: Healthcare Assistant
Salary: £15 - £17 per hour
Location: Poole
Shifts on offer* : Monday to Sunday, Days 8am - 8pm, Nights 8pm to 8am
*Shifts Times are set times, but Monday to Sunday flexibility on offer depending on availability .
About the Role
Sugarman Health and Wellbeing are looking for a Healthcare Assistant within the Hamworthy area, based in Poole, who can support a male service user in his mid 40s, who has a Ventilator, Suctioning, PEG and other complex needs. He lives at home with his wife, which you will be able to build up key relationships to anyone else involved. Our Healthcare Assistant roles are considered more of a companionship role by building up key relationships and promoting independence through daily tasks for our service user within their own home and especially within the community, such as going on holiday with them.
He is non-verbal, and communicates through eye gaze, so you will need to communicate with our services users and their next of kin effectively and appropriately, whilst also giving then the opportunity to communicate their needs as well.

Requirements for the Role
Here at Sugarman Health and Wellbeing, we are looking for an outgoing bubbly candidate, who can show their best assets on providing the highest quality of support.
* A minimum of 6 months of professional UK Care experience.
* Background knowledge and experience within complex care, but not a requirement.
* To provide the correct compliance documents including updated Right to Work and original DBS certificate.
