Overview
Job Description for a Quality Manager in the South West region for a Tier 1 Construction firm. The role leads quality management across regional projects and offices, focusing on compliance, continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.
Responsibilities
* Supporting projects with quality systems, inspections, and compliance checks to meet legal, contractual, and manufacturer requirements.
* Driving best practice by ensuring teams use the correct processes, systems, and tools, while providing training, guidance, and technical support.
* Monitoring performance through on-site inspections, audits, NCR analysis, and defect investigations, ensuring issues are addressed and lessons are embedded.
* Developing improvements to management systems, procedures, and inspection processes, working with project teams and the supply chain to raise standards.
* Reporting and assurance by producing monthly quality reports for Regional Directors and summary updates for the main Board.
The role is pivotal in maintaining compliance with ISO standards, supporting project teams in quality delivery, and championing a culture of continuous improvement across the region.
Experience and Qualifications
• Proven quality management experience in a Tier 1 construction environment.
• Comfortable chairing meetings and presenting to senior stakeholders; ability to act as the face of quality assurance across the region.
• Willingness to travel regionally across the South West; ability to work from home when required.
Compensation and Benefits
Salary up to £75,000 plus £6,500 car allowance/car scheme and an impressive wider package.
