Field Service Engineer (Diagnostic Imaging) Location: Field and site-based across the UK (Essex, Surrey, London and Somerset) Salary: Competitive car allowance Profectus Recruitment is proud to be partnering with a leading provider of advanced medical imaging technology, who are seeking a skilled Field Service Engineer to join their technical service team. This role offers the opportunity to work on a range of multi-vendor diagnostic imaging systems, supporting hospitals and healthcare sites across the UK. Role Overview As a Field Service Engineer, you will provide maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair services for diagnostic imaging equipment, ensuring high performance, compliance, and minimal downtime. You will be the key point of contact for customers, providing professional support both on-site and via telephone assistance. Key Responsibilities Perform preventative maintenance, servicing, and repairs on diagnostic imaging systems across multiple OEM platforms. Troubleshoot and resolve equipment failures efficiently to minimise system downtime. Provide technical support and advice to customers across your assigned region and occasionally across the UK. Maintain accurate service documentation and reports using company systems. Build and maintain strong working relationships with customers and end users. Work collaboratively with the service management team to uphold service level agreements and performance KPIs. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations at all times. Occasionally assist in supporting other technical modalities when required. About You We are looking for an experienced and customer-focused engineer with strong technical and problem-solving skills, capable of working independently and as part of a dynamic team. Essential Qualifications & Skills At least 3 years' experience servicing and repairing diagnostic imaging equipment within a healthcare environment. HNC/D in Electronics (or equivalent technical qualification). Strong understanding of risk management and patient safety principles. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Computer literate with good knowledge of Microsoft Office and networking fundamentals. Full, clean UK driving licence. Willingness to travel within the UK (and occasionally internationally for training). Desirable Degree in Electronics or related field. OEM technical training on diagnostic imaging systems. Experience working in clinical environments with patient contact. Familiarity with NHS or private healthcare regulatory standards.
