We are working with a large, operationally complex business to appoint a Regional Finance Manager into a highly visible, on-site leadership role. This position sits at the centre of a busy, multi-site operation and plays a key role in strengthening the quality, consistency and timeliness of financial information flowing into wider group reporting structures. It offers the opportunity to move beyond transactional finance and make a genuine impact on performance, insight and decision-making. This is a role for a commercially minded finance professional who enjoys being close to the business, working with operational leaders, and helping organisations navigate change. The Role Reporting locally and working closely with a wider group finance function, you will act as a senior finance presence on site, supporting the existing finance leadership team while improving reporting, forecasting and financial insight. Acting as the key link between the local finance team and group finance, ensuring reporting deadlines are met and information is clear, accurate and well-explained Improving the quality of management information, including variance analysis, forecasting and budgeting Supporting the transition from a predominantly transactional finance function to a more commercial, insight-driven model Partnering with operational and commercial leaders to provide forward-looking financial input on performance, cost drivers, profitability, tenders and investment decisions Identifying and implementing improvements to systems, processes and ways of working, particularly where legacy practices create bottlenecks or limit transparency Embedding strong governance, controls and reporting standards while being sensitive to local culture and history Coaching and developing members of the on-site finance team to build confidence, pace and commercial awareness This is a high-trust role requiring sound judgement, credibility and the ability to influence experienced stakeholders without relying on formal authority. The Person You will be a qualified accountant with experience in operational or commercial finance roles within complex or group environments. Strong experience improving reporting quality, forecasting discipline and management information Confidence working with senior operational and finance leaders, explaining financial issues clearly to non-finance colleagues The ability to balance detail with pragmatism in fast-moving, operationally intensive environments Experience operating in businesses with legacy systems or structures, where change must be introduced thoughtfully but firmly A hands-on, autonomous approach and comfort operating as a senior on-site finance lead Strong systems experience (experience of Sage and/or Dynamics 365 would be advantageous) This role offers the chance to step into a high-impact finance leadership position with clear visibility, influence and the opportunity to take on increasing responsibility over time.
