Locations: Liverpool, Southport & Warrington
Pay Rate: £12.21 per hour
Contract: 8 hours per week guaranteed (hours will vary week to week covering holidays and sickness)

Join Mitie as a Relief Security Officer supporting multiple Home Office sites across Liverpool, Southport and Warrington. Unlike many traditional zero-hour relief roles, we offer a guaranteed 8-hour weekly contract, with additional hours depending on operational needs.
As a Relief Officer, you will provide essential cover for colleagues during annual leave, sickness, and unplanned absences, meaning your weekly hours will vary. If you are adaptable, proactive and enjoy a role where no two days are the same, this could be the perfect opportunity.
What You'll Be Doing
Operational Responsibilities
1. Protect staff, visitors, property and assets in line with site Assignment Instructions (AIs)
2. Maintain full compliance with security procedures and legal requirements
3. Deliver a professional and reliable security presence at all times
4. Support service excellence and contribute to continuous improvement
Training & Development
5. Complete all required training to remain competent across multiple sites
6. Maintain and renew your SIA licence in line with requirements
7. Use site technology and systems effectively
Security & Health & Safety
8. Identify and report hazards, threats, or suspicious activity
9. Remain calm and professional in challenging situations
10. Complete accurate incident reports and documentation
11. Contact emergency services and the Communications Centre when required
What We're Looking For
12. Previous security experience
13. Valid SIA Licence (Security Guarding or Door Supervisor)
14. Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle
15. Flexible availability (days, nights and weekends as required)
16. A reliable, proactive and professional approach
